I had no idea who the show's creators were as I was watching, but a couple people have recently told me a bit about Moffat and his version of Dr Who vs. previous iterations, suggesting that the themes and story telling strategies he brought to Sherlock are his modus operandi. I think he's found the perfect material, in that case. And it makes me sad, because I think there are wonderful and more subversive ways to update Holmes for the 21c. Thanks for reading! Maggie
