Stymied
Severus, McGonagall, Flitwick, Hooch, Vector, Bones, Slughorn, Dumbledore
G, 200 words
“Severus Snape,” McGonagall said. “Detention.”
“But--”
“It will be two if you argue.”
She did not make Potter return his nose to its usual size.

“Severus Snape, your turn,” Flitwick said.
The class waited in silence. The feather taunted him.
“You did it perfectly last year.”
The “W” stuck in Severus’ throat.
“Can someone help levitate this feather?”
Wilkes raised his hand.
Bloody Ws.

“Severus Snape!” Hooch yelled. “Don’t pull up too quickly! I said, don’t pull--
“Bollocks.”

“Severus Snape,” Vector said as Severus’ essay sailed towards him. “Ten points from Slytherin.”
There was only one red mark on the page.
“But--”
“Do tell Evans it looks bad when you both make the same mistakes.”

“Severus Snape,” Bones said. “I simply can’t give this essay an Outstanding, as you requested, despite the research involved.”
“Why not?”
“You seem to have forgotten the ‘defense’ in Defense Against the Dark Arts,” she said dryly. “Good day. Close my door on the way out.”

“Severus Snape?” Slughorn asked the class. “It appears he’s not-- oh, yes, you’re here, after all. A message, Mr Snape.”

“Severus Snape,” the headmaster mused. “What are we going to do with you?”
What, indeed? Severus scowled.
