hp_halloween, a low-key, Halloween-themed fest for ficlets of 200 words. Two hundred words! Hey, even I can do that! Looking for something low-pressure and fun to do this month? Sign-ups are over here.

minervas_eule and therealsnape have gotten us off to a good start with lots of discussion.)

* Have been eating apples, apple cake, and pumpkin baked goods, but there's very, very little color here. Something to do with the long, wet summer, perhaps? Here in northern New England it should be peak foliage season right now. Temps last week just under freezing at night, while today it was sunny and 80. Crazy fall weather!
