Weekly update

Do you ever have a small problem that is so galling as to affect your entire outlook on the day? The "u" key on my keyboard won't stay on. Frustrating! This happened with the backspace key, which was ultimately not that much of a problem and a bit ironic, since I need to stop editing so often anyway. But "u" is serious business.

In fannish news, I'm struggling to catch up on hp_beholder before reveals tomorrow. Really enjoying that comm this year. I don't think anything about Beholder requires a subversive approach, but the fanworks all have this wonderfully quirky, let's-look-at-this-differently sensibility about them.

Also signed up for hp_friendship, which I missed entirely last year but am really looking forward to this year. (Sign-ups are still going on there for another week, I believe--come join us!) Apart from Remus/Sirius, I tend not to be much of an OTP type, so I love fests that challenge us to think about the different types of relationships we have.

Want to sign up to rec something--books, movies, tv shows, music, performances, etc.--for lgbtq_recs? This is a low-pressure comm that runs throughout June, a chance to pass along queer-themed recs to friends and a chance to discover some interesting stuff yourself. It's not a lot of effort--just write a short rec and sit back and enjoy the offerings. I'll leave sign-ups open until early next week in an effort to rally more contributors. Would love to make it to twenty recs, so we've got one every weekday throughout June.
