That [First Name Last Initial] approach makes me smile--such a reminder of my childhood. I was also called Big [First Name], both because I was older than the other [First Names] and also always a bit taller and, well, rounder. Didn't bother me a bit back then, though now I look back and cringe.
Meanwhile, I like Solange! You were lucky to miss out on the common first names. :) M.
