I warmed up a bit more to the guy in the third episode than you did, but I was anxious the whole time. The whole issue of police violence is so deeply disturbing that I found it hard to be happy about a dynamic in which they each seem to reach out and find a bit of common ground. (And "common ground" here was Karamo not saying anything when the main guy disavowed "bad apples.") The fifth episode, with the religious guy who clearly didn't know many queer folks, was hard to watch at times as well.

That said, the show's not done a bad job at all. I'm surprised!

They're all very open and kind, aren't they? I'm so impressed by the way they've handled some interactions. The better half's been talking a couching course this past year, and I recognize a lot of their strategies from that world. Makes me wonder what they do for their day jobs.

Anyways, thanks for pointing it out! While I usually love seeing gay and lesbian folks on tv and go out of my way to watch, I'm not sure I would have given this a try had you not said how much you were enjoying it. M.
