Ha! Yes, yes! Similarly, a student was asking about the length my relationship with my partner the other day (he's gay, and the queer students are always super, super interested for obvious reasons, so I figure it's not as weird as it seems) and when I said we'd been together since 1995, he paused for a moment and then said, wonderingly, "I was born in 1997." Another darlings and dinosaurs moment. :) M.
