Another week, another post! I can do this. :)

First and most importantly, a very happy birthday to [personal profile] minervas_eule! There's a photo for you under the cut, selected because I associate you so closely with this time of the year. You're always so happy to resume your usual schedule in September! I admire that and try to emulate it.

In other news:

* R and I have agreed to become regular weekday afternoon walkers for the puppy we were sitting last week, so we'll continue to see him regularly, hurrah! He's just such a happy, positive little thing. Every day is even more exciting than the last! Everything we do is so interesting to him! This is the best walk ever! He can't believe there are so many people and dogs out in the world who can be his friends!

* I've been watching Happy Valley while cat-sitting (lots of pet sitting going on around here!) and really admiring Sally Wainwright's writing. It's a bit tense and violent for me, but I can't quite stop--the characters are unfolding so beautifully.

* Something to make you laugh: "How I Spend Money," a comic that's painfully accurate for me. You, too? Or is there something else that falls in that category for you? Sarah Andersen is fun, by the way, if you're interesting in following her. I'm also enjoying Ello Pudge (she's us, [personal profile] write_out): "Me when making plans, me on Friday."

* Just a quick entry this week to establish some continuity. Hope you are all well!

You, that Friday one! Even when it's a fun night out, by Friday, I'm more than happy for junk food and tv and home.

It's really not possible to remain unhappy in the company of a cheerful, inquisitive puppy. LOL I'm glad you'll continue to have his charm in your life! :D

We need to plant sunflowers like that in our "re-wilding" areas.

That cartoon is great, thanks for the link!

Happy puppying,

Puppy!

I haven't seen any of Happy Valley. My boss has enthusiastically recommended it a couple of times - he lives near where it's vaguely set. It's on the list to watch at some point though.

Hah, yes, that first comic is alllllll too true!

As for the second, I just don't make plans on a Friday if I can help it. They conflict with bath, wine, and pyjamas.

Aw, that puppy is a very good boy. :D

On the topic of Sarah Andersen comics, I am very much feeling this one this week: https://tapas.io/episode/184147

Oh, that was great.

Thank you for the lovely 30 minutes I've been scrolling through this artist.

As the "kids" say these days, it me.

The puppy is a darling. And How I spend money, yes, exactly that way.

Looks like the pup got all tuckered out <3

The Friday cartoon is relatable lol. I actually hate making weekend plans and prefer to be as flexible as possible so I can do what I actually *want* to do on the weekends. Doesn't always work out that way, but ah well.

Yay for regular puppy time! It's handy that you can get many of the benefits of being with a dog without the full responsibility.

Bless. In reverse of that Nico is protesting going any further than the garden gate. His leg is playing up a bit but....I know my boy too. He's being a lazy Sir.

I'm a big "Happy Valley" fan, though I fell behind during one of the seasons. I need to catch up.
