* Am I the last one to hear about the lime crisis? I sauntered up to the counter at my local bodega the other day with a bag full of lime and a handful of change, only to be greeted by the news that my purchase would total five dollars rather than the handful of quarters and dimes I'd intended on spending. Okay, I thought--odd, but okay. I'll just take the one, thanks. Then my tacos came with lemons, then my pho, and then I searched online and realized the problem was more extensive than I'd imagined.
* The little ones at the school across the street were out on a walk the other day when we had a very violent thunderstorm--suddenly dark skies, a deafening clap of thunder--and the screams! I've never heard anything like it. Is that what we all sound like inside when we're frightened?
* I'm horrified by the behavior in our building's coin-op laundry room. Is it just me, or is it the height of rudeness to leave used drier sheets on the ground and the lint still on the filter?
* Almost caught up with Beholder again! I'll have more recs this weekend.
