Three good things

1. Air conditioning! And, more generally, home. We've arrived in the summer sublet, which is even more glorious than last year's, if that's possible, and certainly larger, and almost chilly, the AC is so powerful. AC is truly one of the delights of life.

2. Friends! In the past week, I've seen rose71, schemingreader and onehundredmoons, all for visits that were too short. The better half teases me that I like my friends tucked away in my head computer, but even I have to admit you folks are even more fun in person than online. Which is saying quite a bit. I'm very envious of those of you who are in regular touch--and those of you about to meet this month.

3. Internet! Between end-of-school-year moving and travel and a virus that sidelined my usual fandom computer, I've been mostly offline for about three weeks now, which constitutes a LJ/DW-era record for me. I'm so happy to be back! I found myself telling a non-fannish friend last week that I've become a fan of the flist just as much as HP, and I've missed you all.

A master list for lgbtq_recs is in the works and perhaps a meme, as well, but for now, hello again!

Oh, I'm totally a bigger fan of the flist than of HP. I read the flist constantly and HP quite infrequently. ♥

What conference did you go to? I don't know about you, but they're tiring for me because of all the people. Gah! Can't live with them, can't live without them... M.

It was about Shakespeare and Emotion, and it was really interesting, but I had to spend time with All The People. So many people, all the time. Including my supervisor and her partner. I spent a long time being Cheery!Academic!Liseuse and then got home and died.

Welcome back! I've just caught up on things and saw how much your enjoyed your trip, but selfishly I'm glad you're home again. It's been a long, dry spell without you.

The city is wonderful! I've spent the whole day tidying the apartment and planning out walks I can take through the neighborhood. *is happy* M.
