Posting begins at DH2 Challenge
Jul. 31st, 2011 07:11 pmHappy birthday, Neville Longbottom and Harry Potter!
To celebrate, we've started posting over at
dh2_challenge /
dh2_challenge with a ficlet about cleaning up after the Battle of Hogwarts:
Sweep, Argus Filch, PG-13, 1450 words.
Author's note: Inspired by the moment in the film in which Filch is seen attempting to sweep up the rubble after the Battle of Hogwarts. The moment got a laugh in the theatre I was in; maybe it wasn't so funny from the inside. This ficlet has a wonderful, distinctive voice--enjoy!
We'll be posting ficlets all week--drop by leave them some love. And remember that the challenge is still open, especially to those of you who, like me, haven't written anything fannish in a long time. Give it a try!
For the curious, the answer to last week's burning mystery: my sister-in-law recognized the mystery piece of music accompanying this dance performance. Quite a few of you knew it was Mozart, but the SIL correctly identified it as the fourth movement of Symphony no. 36 (Linz)
