Severus, Mum, Lily, Lucius
G, 200 words
Even before Mum explained what magic was, Severus knew. Magic flowed between them. It made him feel safe and happy. Made him want to wash up after dinner when she asked. Made him help in the shop. Magic made Mum's features soften when she looked at him. Made her kiss him when she thought he was asleep.
No one else could make them do anything.
Severus felt magic when he saw the ginger-haired girl jump off the swings and float to the ground, laughing.
“Like me,” he thought. “Like me.”
She pulled at him like a magnet.

Hogwarts confused him. So much magic, flowing, in one place. Yet no one seemed to notice it, as Severus did. They rushed past, ignoring him unless they wanted something.
He hated the thought that his magic would make him act kindly towards others when so few acted kindly toward him.
But Lucius noticed. Magic made him smile at Severus, sit next to him at dinner. “My aunt said there’d be a Prince here this year,” he said.
Magic made Severus listen. Loosened his tongue, made him smile. Made his prick twitch.
Magic makes us human. Severus was full of magic.
